The Studio 96 Fall
"Fun"draiser was very successful.
Sixty people were served at the barbecue, which was prepared by Lee
Burgess. The silent art auction included 15 pieces of art from
local artisans with proceeds going to the Studio 96 fund. And,
one doner met Pat Laudermilk's $1,000 giving challenge.
In total, the event raised $3,800, which will be enough
to fix the north sidewall before winter comes. The Studio 96
building is scheduled to be used for several times during October by
various community groups. The next step of remodeling involves
ceiling demolition.
